Description

The Asti region, and especially the small town of Nizza, has a long and proud history of making wines from the Barbera grape. So much so, that the strictly regulated Superiore subzone of Nizza was created in 2000. The production of the Barbera d’Asti Superiore Nizza is restricted to the 18 local municipalities of this small town. For the Titon, L’Armangia use grapes from more than 70 year old vines at the south east sloping ‘Cabona’ vineyard just outside the town of Nizza.

The Titon is a full-bodied wine with well structured tannins and good acidity. The ripe cherry and mature red fruit flavors will work perfectly with roasted meat, flavorful soups or cheeses. This wine should cellar well for up to 10 years.
